2008 WAKO Musical / Weapon Form Rules amendments
1. You can now release your weapon twice (2) in your form. This is 2 throws, 2 total releases of the weapon.
Body rolls and spins are still legal techniques in which the number of times is unlimited for this kind of technique.
2. An Aerial (free hand cartwheel) will now be classes as a "kick" and not a gymnastic technique.
Also Kip-Up (from your back flipping onto your feet) is classed as a gymnastic technique in Hard forms.
3. New time limit breakdown:
- Your time will start from the moment you begin your continuous walk towards the referee's table, you will have 30 seconds from this point to announce yourself and position yourself into your starting position.
- Then from your first movement you will have between 1 minute and 1 minute 30 seconds to complete your form.
4. Competitors who are ranked in WAKO international tournaments will be seeded throughout the World,
all other competitors will be selected at random.
